An Unpleasant Trip
Dear Manager Zhang.
First of all, I would like to thank you very much for arranging a seven-day tour to Guilin for our students. On the whole, the students had a rewarding time on the tour. However, there were some unpleasant incidents during the trip and I am writing on behalf of the students to express our dissatisfaction.
Firstly, on the day of departure, the flight was delayed by more than three hours and we arrived at our destination at 10pm. The tour guide did not arrange for us to have a meal, so the students had to buy their own instant noodles to eat. Moreover, the tour guide did not offer to help us carry our luggage.
Secondly, the food arrangements for the whole trip were disappointing to everyone. We ate the same meal almost every day. The food was cooked in a very greasy and unpalatable way. We complained to our guide several times, but there was no improvement at all.
Thirdly, the hygiene conditions in the hotel were not very good. The carpets in the rooms were quite dirty and the bathrooms were not cleaned well enough.
Fourthly, the guide added two impromptu shopping trips for us to the seven-day tour schedule, without even consulting the lead teacher beforehand. By the last day, he even arranged for us to go shopping, which we refused.
Fifthly, during these days, two students were not feeling well and the tour guide failed to arrange for them to go to the local hospital in time for treatment, which fortunately did not cause any major problems.
Sixthly, the driver driving the coach had a very poor sense of safety. The driver drove very fast on the mountain roads, which was very dangerous and worried and scared us.
Overall.
The tour guide was unprofessional, rather lazy, had a poor attitude towards work and was very passive. We believe that the arrangement of this "7 days tour to Guilin" and the work of the tour guide have tarnished the image of your company. We hope that you will take our complaint seriously. We also expect your company to improve its service in the future.
