Of course I‘m not entirely sure, but I think that Eiji‘s dismissive mannerims are probably just a product of social awkwardness and not necessarily of him not caring about anything. I mean there must be something inside him driving him forward to live the exorcist life. Naomi might be right for the moment: that he is not actually interested in her, but that does not necessarily imply that it has to stay this way. I guess that every relationship (not just in the romantic ones) starts out on some ulterior motives/interests. But it can go from there. So go on and be brave, Naomi! Maybe this develops into your next big friendship and quite possibly even more 😏 (Unless your author kills you because you ran out during midnight, stupid you! 😅)
I really liked the way you justified her doing something really stupid and not listening to him. She is socially insecure and interprets their relationship in the most pessimistic way possible, so that feels quite realistic for her character, actually. I usually end up rolling with the eyes, being like „Oh come on, why can’t you simply listen and do what they told you?“ But here I actually feel why she did run out into the night, being overwhelmed by the (what she thinks) disinterest in her.
But I think they’re cute, so I’ll keep on rooting for them 😂❤️
