Oh yeah, the story sorta drip feeds the cultural differences between both worlds as the story goes on. I kind of want the novel to touch on the topic of economics too since that's my jam
Kamen Rider? I know about it, but the main thing that comes to mind for me is One Piece when I think of mirror worlds 😄

Geez that's a lot of em dashes lol. And the jumping from different character to character was a little jarring for an opening chapter
But overall I like the prose. Feels really refined, crisp. And right down the middle to avoid purple prose or white room syndrome
I'll check out more of the story if I have time
