I've stripped for doctor appointments before, this is no different
Sanae can't sense curses, she needs to see them visually, so that's why she needed to check her whole body for any curses too during the ritual

Oh, that's a good idea too
But I prefer more complex storylines with dynamic characters, so I opted for something less streamlined
It's not really supposed to be some generic bad experience at the start of the isekai, but more like the climax of the volume.

The knot she tied around her arm was to stop the curse from spreading higher to her head, ahead of time
She needed rags to make a knot, so she tore away her clothes since it was an emergency, and she would need to see the curse mark progress on her body once the ritual finishes
Same thing with Daichi. His clothes needed to come off so Sanae could see far along the curse marks had gotten on his body.
