I'd def agree that it's a good way to add a bit of flair. Maybe I'd even add a accessory or two down the line, just to distinguish them a bit more (while still maintaining the more 'realistic', and not overdesigned gacha mess). Seeing the direction you're going for the story, the trick is to make them feel like they could exist in the world, and while still being unique enough, I'd argue. Good thinking!

Yeah, that would take too long I agree. I suppose one thing you could do is try to write the story in a way that the succeeding chapters sort of 're-introduce', the characters slowly, and give the reader time to digest and match the faces to descriptions and whatnot. Which... might be what you intend, granted, so I'll have to wait and see.

Bonus points for actually having a kurta instead of a generic tunic or whatnot. And another for explaining the role of slimes in the ecosystem and having them relate to blindness. Very neat.

I am a bit curious on why Munditia is considered the good option? Assuming it's something like Base Spell Power x Max Output = Mana Used, then using bolt would still be more efficient, right, since it'd take less overall due to being a weaker spell, and would still kill the slime. Either that or I'm missing something, which is highly probable.

Agree that the bit about the sea comes out of nowhere. I'd either extend the opening scene or just forgo the mention of it, tbh, though I think the former option is better.
