This chapter starts out strong as I really like how you contrasted the regal tone of worldbuilding the Imperial Academy's prestige at first with Miieie's more surface-level impressions of how pretty it looks. I can envision the narrator's voice all serious and formal over the academy's introduction, but then it quickly pans over to Miieie with a record-scratch.
On that note, one thing I hope people appreciate when they read this chapter is that by doing so, not only are you doing a comedic contrast in the narration, but you are also both building up the history AND the physical appearance of the Academy at the same time. Quietly clever in how natural it all comes together. For all its glamour though, I do wonder if there are any secrets the Academy has to hide?
I'll stop myself here as I'm also pretty curious to know what surprised her so much at the end. Knowing Miieie thus far, I can only hope it won't involve her blowing up half the place on her first day. Good stuff~
