Hello lovely Yati! To be honest, I would have liked to expand on a few of my ideas more, including the date with Daichi on the boat. Sadly, my mental health along with the need of a good break made me lucky enough to at least pull out most of my ideas and (I think?) a decent ending before the end of the contest, you know how it goes, best laid plans and all that. Haha ^^ But I'm glad that you've enjoyed the journey enough to have wanted to see more, that's a good thing in my book!
Thank you for the luck! And to answer your question, no they don't have to get married, they simply needed to finish living together for the entire thirty days for their end of the contract to be fulfilled. It's the agency's way of not forcing people who don't want to be together to marry, but also try to "coax" people into not chickening out without giving it a try!
In my next volume (or rest of the book, depending on how things go) I have plans for the agency to try to get the two of them back into their sneaky contract. ;)
