This chapter was excellently paced and I could sense just how urgent Darren felt to find "Erica". Him accepting the 800 deal off the bat speaks to how much he's willing to sacrifice in order to speak to her. (Although I probably would have at least tried to haggle, personally )

I'm liking the more toned down approach with the innuendos and such. It allows for me as the reader to absorb more of the serious elements that Darren was trying to hide from us at the start. Still enjoyed the humor sprinkled in though!

Aleksei sure does know how to pick when he's in a good mood or not

I don't think I could go without recorded music for long! I was even listening to classical music while reading this chapter! Although I will say, music definitely does feel different in person. I went to this one concert where the score of the movie was played live and people were in tears!

I am hopeful for Fleure and it seems like her relationship with her aunt is only getting better! Love to see them communicating. ❤️

What a fun day at the beach though and poor Hana for having to hear those scary stories! I get pretty spooked myself so I don't blame her! Sounds like the meteor shower might be a good time for Hana and Yukio to have their moment! Let's hope it works out for them! 🥰

The beginning felt so relatable it hurt but in a good way! Two reasons, one is that I'm unfortunately not the person who has my whole life together and especially not in the morning. (Though I am trying!) But also because high school was also a very isolating time for me as well.

I really like the personality of the main character, he feels believable as a person as does Yume. I like the premise too, and how Yume is handled as a character. She's obviously beautiful but that isn't the defining feature of her specialness, she is kind and playful as well.

Lovely first chapter.

I agree, believe me. Although I've met far too many cases of men either over thinking or being plain incapable of sending a simple text message!

In Makoto's case, he's overthinking. But don't worry, Kimiko will grill him later. (Well, she's too nice to grill, lightly char is more accurate)

I'm hoping through this story to show that there is no perfect couple, only a couple who works hard to be better and communicates their problems. Makoto certainly needs to do so or someone else might like you said!

I absolutely love and admire Rex for his determination and spirit!! I felt so bad for Mitch though but glad that Rex was finally able to get Zain on board. What a test too!

You have a great way of handling dialog and description both so that it doesn't distract from the action but also tells me exactly what I need to know. My favorite line was about Rex needing to "clean his ears" it was both humerous and evocative! ❤
