I could understand how this could be an issue. Σ(っ °Д °;)っ
Han indeed comes from humble beginnings, but I wanted to present how his connection with Sam (and other individuals) provided opportunities that changed a lot about his life. A good example is how he connected with Beth while staying at a high-end hotel (mentioned in Chapter 1). ( ̄_ ̄|||)
Chapter 1 is meant to provide a sense that Han has become someone who has managed to gain some success, has his apartment under his name, likely works for a respected company (hinted that Sam helped him to gain connections to it), and can afford designer gifts (even though he has to pay attention to using money like with deals and sales -- due to his background).
This is why I wanted to have Han internally doubt himself frequently, despite his exterior confidence (due to his powers, not himself). (⊙_⊙;) I have chapters in the future that'll dive into this idea more, and thanks to your comment, I'll try to flesh them out better. (°ー°〃)
I need to polish things more and strengthen certain areas in previous chapters. Which I'll try to tackle as I continue to edit the story. ✍️(◔◡◔)
Thanks for the comment, as always, especially because your comment indicates that I might be lacking in this area to help explain Han's circumstances in a way that a reader understands. (❤️ ω ❤️)
