Well, technically he did, but he was revived by the kingdom's magic. A mysterious thing, isn't it? As Walker pointed out, there's a bit left unexplained here, admittedly purposeful.
I hope I have the time to get into more about how strange this kingdom works, but the focus here was on Chiffon and Caramello/Fragolo's relationship. But for the contest, this is a good enough end.
