Yes, Chiffon's viewpoint is that she has to control herself to be one or the other, appeasing each side one at a time. Whereas, Caramello brings in the possibility of "why not both?"

Thank you, I wanted Chiffon to be a multi-faceted protagonist, and a bit naive in how she perceives herself. I'm glad you enjoy the detail, and yes, she is named after cake. Even her last name is a type of cake as I have made it somewhat of a theme that all the royalty names have something to do with baking.
