It's refreshing to see a main character like Darren. He seems like the type who's calm and collected, thinks deeply and has a philosophical view on life. Yet, at the same time, he thinks of the wildest thoughts and engage in such silly witty banter with his "HOT" teacher.

Objectively speaking, I think you should have considered not giving the characters too much backstory in the first chapter, since readers don't have that much attachment towards them to even care about their lives. Like it's not very important to know that Beat was bullied or Bane came from a hospital or that Glenn is a heartthrob at the moment. It kind of feels like info-dumping. It might have been best to talk about those things later on in the story when they become relevant. It sort of adds a mystery to the characters, which makes them more interesting. Anyways, I still liked the dialogues, humor and overall plot of the story. It has good vibes for me personally. Keep up the good work!

If I were to rephrase the sentence, it would be something like, "Yes, those cold, yet calm blue eyes on his pretty face made my heart skip a beat! I wish I had a boyfriend like him!"

It might help describe his face much more creatively, instead of just saying "good-looking with his blue eyes"
