Okay, so. Goddamn story.
I think this is one of my favourite chapters. ( At the beginning I thought it was her suicide letter, for the incident that happened at the beginning of the novel; because of how guilt seemed to consume her ). But that's a letter showing how she still struggles with all that happened and keeps happening. She's even more conflicted I thought she was.
The whole story is well-written and built. The characters are what I love the most. Strong personalities, they feel... Alive should I say? Elisa in particular has such a development! You truly showed us what a Highcliff girl IS. And Kael..... Ahhh Kael. Seing such a proud, possessive, arrogant vampire weak for love.... Yeah good anime.
Also, you managed pretty well to share the resentment and pride of all the Highcliff people, the wounds left by the Concordant. It sounds very real, accurate. Relatable.
The daddy and mommy issues were hellish strong parts. It was crude, it was honest.

Ohh, and ending SUGGESTING a Vol.2 spotted. I'm waiting for it. Lurking in the darkness.
