Woah. Interesting turn of events!
So I guess it was the last chapter.... *Sobs*
So, about that wonderful story of yours~
First, the characters themselves. My preferred is the girl I guess, or maybe the Journeyman. The girl's inner thoughts looping in that self deprication, remaining true to her logic all along.... Truly a well-developped personality!
What lets me on my hunger is first the lack of precision concerning the girl's family reasons for treating her like this. Why did they even begin hating her like this? I really really hoped 'till the end I would get to know this so that's my grrrrrrrrr point.
Another thing that confuses me is that the girl had no name. I mean; I was so happy when at the latest line Lady Scarlet called her by a name!! But I say so because, as Mr Ren and Lady Scarlet like her a lot, then why didn't they give her a name from the beginning? Isn't it a mark of complete indifference to not allow someone to have even a name?
This aside, it doesn't change that I really liked that story! I loved the narrative, the dreams parts, the unexpected and at last horrific outcome of the story, when you learn the girl has been reviving all these events for so many times..... I'm glad she outwitted Xilu!
And, even though admitting it won't diminish my grrrrrr hunger, true is that all the characters hold that simplicity, bringing coherence to the story. The evil Maestro is simply evil, the cruel parents just cruel, Mr Ren and Lady Scarlet as kind they seem. In a way, this story has really a ''tale'' vibe ( if that is understandable )
Really loved the witty last part after Elizabeth drank what the Chalice contained.
I really enjoyed reading that story :3
