I didn't expect K to be the arc villain (?) but in hindsight it was probably obvious let's be real

I'll be honest and say that reading this chapter was especially hard to read because of the lack of quotations at the end of sentences, and I get it's because of the unorthodox format, but it was still hard on my brain. I KNOW some books do it like that, but not for thousands of words of uninterrupted yapping on top of pseudo-science through a monologue spaced out in 1-2 line paragraphs. By the end it felt like I was reading words but had forgotten English.

That first scene hit hard because I had an experience that almost perfectly mirrored this (without the slap). It sucks when people supposed to support you give 0 fucks about how you feel because they think they know best... when they don't? Maybe listen to your child if they're breaking down in front of you begging you not to force them do to something? But I digress. I feel like either he'll go full villain, die early, be a liability, or hopefully join 'the heroes' and confront his father. We'll see.
