I don’t know if it was intentional, but please tell me you referenced “pizza time!” in that first delivery scene 😆🍕 I got a lot of Spider-Man vibes in general with this first chapter. Glad to see you in the fold for contest season again.

I hope the twins *at least* don’t try to spin this against Dorian, considering he saved their lives, but my expectations for them have not been great thus far. I’m looking forward to hearing Dorian’s take on Avery and the robot head.
Not compliance training, anything but that 😂😭 As a man who spends most of his time in an office, that’s a special pain that I know all too well. There’s something about the nature of her job that sounds really fun though.

That last bit was the Director greeting Jiro, making it the first time they’ve actually met while Jiro was conscious. 😁 You’ll remember in chapter 1 he saw him during the training video, and in chapter 2 he was floating out of consciousness.

I almost feel tempted to believe that Vermillion has a sort of sixth sense, and the glasses work to suppress that. Your descriptions and pacing were nice too, solid start!
The mystery surrounding Hideo grows… I wonder if he’s connected to someone important within the military 🤔 perhaps next of kin? Shiba certainly doesn’t pull punches either. I could have warned Akai that blackmail was a risk ahaha
