I’ll agree. Dream sequences don’t often move the needle for me either 🙂‍↕️ but the symbolism will pay off later, in pretty unexpected ways in the case of the black birds. Also, I can say that his memories before a certain point are pretty much untouched, but everything else is out-of-date and badly so.

The rest of the novel is going to be fight scene after fight scene in large part. ⚔️ I hope I can nail the action choreography though. Admittedly, it takes me much longer to do so than dialogue. In the case of the latter, they just have the conversation and my hand transcribes it from my brain. 😂

I have a lot of thoughts about that last exchange 🤔 but first, it would appear Ragnar and co. made good on their promise to come clean, and join the reconstruction efforts. It’s always nice to see the day-to-day routine in the guild, gives a sense of life to the community Mary lives in. I like the concept of weaponizing inaction to fight against the system, but what Razzel hasn’t considered is that Seveg was only the piece in a larger mechanism. If you take one of the arms off a clock, does it cease to be a clock? 🕰️ Or is it simply waiting for a replacement to continue ticking as usual? As long as the injustice continues, someone else will rise and continue his dirty work.
