I liked the note that Haruma had given up on learning new skills, because he had figured it would all just go wrong anyways. Sparring against Wymond has proven two things to him:

1. That he still has room to get stronger if he wants to be able to protect his newfound friends.
2. Controlling his broken abilities might not be as impossible as he’s made it out to be in his head.
