Spoiler tagging my own comment just in case people are reading through my recents // There we go.
I’m finally done! 🙌🎉 And thank you for reading every chapter, I’ve really looked forward to your comments and reactions, and I appreciate the glowing review as well. I will say—my story’s resolution might be closer to yours than one might think, but I’ve left it up to interpretation.
Jiro’s body was most definitely found at the scene of LiveRite Labs when emergency personnel arrive, which would indicate that the Cowboy we had been following up to now unfortunately passed. 🕊️ BUT—“Jiro” is copied over to the character files for genesis as an Eternal. Whether Eternal Jiro is *still* Jiro goes back to whether one believes in the humanity of Eternals themselves. And while it may be far fetched, I want to believe at least some of the true essence of Jiro made the journey with him. 😌 In either case, and like Aki said, Yuna and Shizuka will never be alone again.
By the way, once this is all over I plan to do a backstory exposition chapter about Barnes and place it just after the Thresh reveal as well as beefing up the final battle. Once again, thank you so much for taking the time to read. 👏
