Everyone Remembers the Hero Except Me

Chapter:37

Sep 12, 2026

If you’re reading this, you’ve either reached the end of “Everyone Remembers the Hero Except Me”, or you’re taking a little peek at my profile comments. 👀 In either case, thank you for stopping by, and for all my awesome readers/friends for enjoying the story and sharing your thoughts and comments throughout the whole process. 📖

I hope to return the favor soon and read as many stories as I can before my work schedule gets busier. (It sure was creatively convenient to be between jobs during the contest 💀) but I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve seen so far. Y’all brought your best, and I mean it, it’s been fun to compete.

As for the conclusion, I was able to explain as much as I could but I’ll welcome any questions, comments, concerns you still have. 🙂‍↕️ At the time of posting I might have some words to cut, but I don’t anticipate that many, so no worries.

Felix found what he was looking for and made it back home, but the adventure is far from over. It seems the family he cared about so much has gained a harpy and an elf member on top of it, and the two might be on better terms than they’ll have you believe. 😆 From here, Crestalis awaits, but not before some well-deserved r&r (for the characters and the author…)

That’s all from me, friends. Be seeing you around.

Oh noooooooo 😭 When even the bloodblade is picking up bad vibes, you know it’s time to pack up and leave. 🩸 For a man with “no interest in power” I don’t much believe Kemal. Things aren’t looking good though for the rest of the gang either. Can’t believe there’s only two chapters left after this.

I’m also glad we got an Isla-focused chapter. 🤩 It’s tough to balance an ensemble cast and give everyone the proper amount of shine. Believe me, I’ve had my own struggles with it. 😮‍💨 But this discussion was sorely needed, I just hope the one Flint is having with Kemal will be constructive…

Thanks for saying so! I only wish I could’ve had more space to stretch out the last arc, but you’ll see by the end how close I cut it against the limit 😂 I wouldn’t be shocked if I was 80k on the dot. Tomorrow morning is the conclusion of the fight + the epilogue. It’s been a long ride to get here, but I’ve enjoyed every minute.

Elite references 😌😆 though I’m pretty biased, Chan Chan has some good taste. The other reference was to me, because—like Minimo—I am also a communication major. Though, I’ve never had the pleasure of speaking to a duck. 🦆 At least, not yet.

Everyone in HF says they’re gonna have a beach chapter 🏖️ but you actually followed through. 😤 2010s anime moment.

So, not only do we get an epic all-out magical duel with world-shattering spells ✨ but we’re gonna get a knock-down-drag-out fist fight too?? 👊 This final arc just keeps on giving. The choreography was really nice, well played.

I’m still distraught we didn’t get a proper Rini romance arc 😭 she was so chill, but I knew Hattu would be in Arakkia. He got down to too much tomfoolery in his lifetime to wind up anywhere else.

Since the start, Ifrim has given me a strange vibe, but I’m certain that he’s at least loyal to Silje—true to how he acts. 🙂‍↕️ And now we have evidence that the worms have been conspiring, as expected. The part about the earth guardian was unexpected though. Part of me really hopes they don’t go through with attacking the fire nations. there might be some common ground left for them to share.

We’ll get more in the final chapter, but from Crow’s perspective, Felix is very much a monster that needs to be vanquished. 👹 It could be information he’s been fed from the one that sent him, but despite his methods, he intends to put down who he believes is an out of control force. That’s why Elora referred to him as a “dark hero” before, a monster who hunts monsters.

Time to rumble, indeed. 🥊 This is round three, but thankfully it’s not best two out of three. I always love when the villain can take a step back and appreciate when they’ve been outsmarted. Let’s see if it makes a difference though 👀
