😭Ahhh!😭 It’s always so bittersweet to reach the end! Thank you Katsu for writing this story! It really touched my heart and excited me a ton!
As for the characters, I loved Ichika and Haruhi! Both of them really had such a good dynamic and I just wanted them to always be around eachother! My favourite chapter with them was the one where Ichika came over to Haruhi's place while he was hurt and they cooked food.
Speaking of that chapter, I might have missed it, but what became of Haruhi's sister? I don't think she was referenced in a while. (At least as far as I can recall)
I think Ichika's dad definitely is another of my favourites. He has so many characters arcs and moments that he felt so real.
And of course, I liked the old lady and the taxi driver too. So mysterious! 🤔
As for the settings, there was a nice amount of different places that felt alive and realistic. My favourite place was the convention. It was a lot of fun imagining all the details of that.
The beach arc also had a lot of really good descriptions too. Any time the characters were sitting in the sand and looking off into the water reminded me how relaxing the sand and shore can really be.
As for the plot, it was fun and kept me engaged! It really is funny to think how it all started by Haruhi tripping and dropping his otaku merch, but Ichika definitely knew how to rope him in to a relationship. I can think of a certain matchmaking sorceress who probably would have foretold that little engagement with glee 👀
And overall, I just loved this story! The 2023 contest may be long done, but I'm glad I got through this story and can't wait for the next one!
