Right off the bat we’re back with a funny moment that adds some character to Shino-chan. I’m a sucker for people getting names wrong, reminds me of the Diane(?) bit that ran on for an entire chapter in a certain other novel we both love (don’t lie to me). This also happens in American Psycho where everyone is constantly mistaking each other for someone else. God I love that novel. But I digress. Actually let me get back to digressing by saying I suck with names and only recognize people by their faces so this is a very relatable bit.
Splitting up the thing about the costume party with unrelated dialogue was a good call, it makes it all the more funny. Thinking about Nerima all spaced out, reminiscing about a party gone wrong whilst in the middle of a conversation got a grin out of me.
Nerima do be loving his coffee. Reminds me of a certain author on this site writing about a sassy witch on the run with a pilgrim hat boy. Feed that caffeine addiction my man! Slayyy
Love the discussion on appearance in this chapter, really makes you think huh.
Sounds like Shino-chan I just envious of Hanamura for stealing her spotlight and is now making up stuff, get over it tbh. She’s shaping up to be the antagonist of this novel, or maybe I’m just looking into it too deeply. Maybe not. Only way to find out is to keep reading!
Yea I didn’t have any criticisms for this chapter except for some place where you might want to split a paragraph, but that’s just a minor form thing.
