The main purpose of this chapter is more to further develop Alice’s philosophy and hang ups as a character, but yeah, also definitely a bit of Barry-Alice shipping going on here too. Eleanor is one of my favourite characters to write but her introduction took away some opportunities for the two leads to be alone together, tried to rectify that a little here

Noticed more grammar and spelling mistakes in this one than usual. Notably Mai apparently pointing her sword at herself and Rio’s “meating.”

A bit of repetitive wording too. For example, both the sixth and seventh paragraph end with something along the lines of “there are limits,” which makes it feel like nothing new is really being said.

The content of the chapter is good, but I’d recommend more thoroughly combing through for errors in future because they can be a tad jarring

Man is so affection starved that when girls finally give him any attention he's head over heels for all three of them at once. I would take the piss if it wasn't so painfully relatable

I love that they all manage to fluster Aikami at every turn for totally different reasons. Chloe because she's clueless, Lana because she doesn't care and Alice because she actively enjoys it. It's a fun dynamic no matter who's active in any given scene, and it gives each of the girls very distinctive personalities.

Also I 1000% believe that Alice at the very least already knows he's developed feelings for one if not all of them. Chloe almost definitely doesn't and Lana is a wild card, but Alice is far too perceptive to have not noticed

Rio just bullshitting about a potential invasion is 100% gonna come back to bite him in the arse, I can feel it. My bet is that either Arhonia is gonna attack somewhere else and he'll get the blame for it, or Mikin will launch a pre-emptive attack triggering an all out war. You can't just make shit like that up without consequences.

Btw, I think there's a mistake at the end. Rio says "I'm still Arhonian," but I'm guessing that's supposed to be Mikin

While the concept of this story is interesting, chapters like this where there’s losing sections filled with dialogue that the target audience quite simply cannot read can get quite tedious. I get that it helps us relate to Leo who also has no idea what’s going on, but I should at least be able to follow the story. Really all I got from that conversation is that the Queen realised Leo doesn’t speak Niederdeutsch and there’s been a challenge set for three weeks time. The chapter title makes me think it’s something to do with Nela and Leo getting married, but because I only understand about a third of the text in the chapter and almost all of it was just Leo not understanding anything there was nothing to actual convey that information.

It’s a rock and a hard place, I know, but I’d honestly have scenes like this be done either partially or fully from Nela’s PoV and translated to English so we actually know what’s being said

For some reason I never got notified of this comment so I've only just seen it now, but that's interesting hear, I only know pretty basic Japanese myself so a lot of this kinda goes over my head lol. In terms of writing and imitating the revival of thorn, all I could really think was for the localiser to resurrect dead kana like ゐ and ゑ but I'm not sure of that'd actually work
