I think I agree with a critique I saw lolo make in the comments of an earlier chapter. Caleb seems almost comically perfect. Like he legitimately descended from heaven to be the perfect antidote to everything Aika’s struggling with. I think Aika is a very compelling character but at times I feel like Caleb is like a catch-all plot device to fix whatever’s wrong with its her at the time. He doesn’t feel flawed enough to feel compelling in his own right to me
