I read the first two seconds, and all the world building and storytelling reminds me of something mythological, of some of the longer tales of heros!! It's very cool, but I gotta admit, I was not really sold until you threw out "Texan, actually" 🤣 okay. NOW I'm interested!!
I'm trying to think if there's a way you can sneak this punchy line into your first chapter, to help capture more readers!! Something to consider!
Also I love the cover art :D

Searching for Hanamura hmm? Was she the one trying to give the umbrella back, or a different girl? Either way, I hope our umbrella-borrower can work up the courage to give the umbrella back!! 🤗

My only commentary would be to potentially add a Mature Rating tag (14+ maybe?) on the story bio! Just for the curse words? Up to you though!

Also just wanted to say, I don't think the romance is slow at all!! 🤗 This is only chapter 6 so far! I know for me at least (as a writer) even my own stuff feels slow sometimes because of writing and posting it days apart. But when I read it altogether in one sitting, I realize it feels totally normal! Pacing is one of those things that's just so hard to tell while writing. But I think so far, yours is going at a nice tempo!

Rivals but friends! I want to take a twist on the usual rival, and see how things go when the Love Rival is both competition, yet also, just a really good guy. The bromance route is also always an option >:)
At some point I may have to flip this joke and have a falling tree commune with *him* 🤣 jun better watch out in those forests!!
Actually 😏 you're right though about the money. That's actually a small plot point I'm going to bring up in the next chapter! Jun is slightly shooting himself in the foot here, but I think it'll work out in the end! 🤞
