Phew!! So glad they were looking at puppies, I was about to get very upset at our main character for playfully lifting up his pregnant wife 🤣
A shocking ending for the first chapter! Though I know time travel awaits from the story description!
My one question is just: why would a robber try to mug them in a pet shop? There's definitely cameras and other people there as witnesses, and usually pet stores don't have any cash to steal (if he was there to rob the place and then changed goals.) Dude's going to get caught by the cops no matter what, especially now with murder charges, so I don't see much motive for the mugger. This might be a plot point though (like there's a certain reason she had to die on this day, and the attacker wasn't actually just random) so if I'm off base here then you can say it's a future spoiler!
