An intro full of mystery, intrigue, and suspense! It was really nicely written and easy to read! :D
I have two questions for the class! *raises hand* Or two comments, rather 🤣
Firstly, just a request to put a trigger warning in the story bio/first chapter intro that the story will feature suicide. I know it seems silly, but please please please, it's super important to let people know and support mental health!
Secondly, I was curious if this was set in the United States? Because if a high school in the US only graduated 5 out of 300 students, they would not meet government standards and would be considered a "failing" school and would probably be closed. Now realism isn't totally of #1 importance (plenty of anime totally disregard this) but it did make me think that just a small change might increase realism. Maybe something like "Only 5 of you will graduate with honors (and get the fame)" or "Only 5 of you will actually graduate from *this* school. Everyone else will graduate under a different school's name." (Or, you could go the corruption route, with the school altering their graduation numbers to look "right" for the government.)
Anyway, I hope you don't mind the feedback ☺️ I try not to be too critical, but I think those two points are really important for your story!
