I think this is my favorite chapter so far! I really like how these trials are making them cooperate, and start to see different sides of each other!!

and a sudden desire to draw, where that drawing helps bring back a part of himself.

Well I'm certainly interested where you're taking this story! :D I have my questions and reservations, but I feel it might be a little too soon to voice them. I'd rather not jump to conclusions, when this creative journey might just need some time to show its...true colors (...yes I am going to leave a pun here. I feel bad because of how serious this story is, but well...I can't stop myself 🤣)

This is such a rough thing for a family to go through. The mother is trying her best, but by clinging to the past and who Shiro used to be...she's denying him the space to be who he is now, which is what he needs the most 😭 but the mother is hurting too, in her own way. (I would admittedly suggest therapy for each of them. Traumatic experiences like this need guidance, and trusted help. ❤️ But okay, I understand this is a novel, and therapy sessions are probably not your desired story direction 😅 I will still gently wish for it as just a person whose heart goes out for people like this.)

This intro is so melancholic, I can feel the sense of loss radiating in each word :( I still don't quite know what happened to him in his accident, but it must have changed his life greatly. Going to school again might not be the best, especially not in a busy place like Tokyo. But going to a specialty school for handicapped might make Shiro feel even more isolated 💔 either way, I hope for him to find some joy again, even if small -- that can help lead him out of this dark place.

Jun's impulsiveness and problems are immediately put on display 😅 we now see very clearly his problem of not listening! I'm glad it could humanize him (and hopefully not scare people off too badly 🤣) He is meant to be flawed, but this journey will help him find ways to better understand others 💕
👀 I like that theory!! Honestly hold on to that one! It does tie in to something I have planned for very late into the story 🤫 but I won't tell spoilers yet 😉
