Ah, now I see why Lolo expects the YLIA ending. The cold treatment from Izumi’s parents seems unfair, but I can’t say I blame them, the possibility of losing your child to cancer isn’t something a parent would ever take well.
Minor nitpick: for it to be considered cancer, it can’t be benign. A benign tumour is a non-cancerous one by definition, so it can’t be both cancerous and benign at the same time. A benign tumour may become malignant, but for as long as it’s benign it’s not right to call it cancer
