I was also thinking about using some more combinations, but I wanted to focus more on the story rather than the character skills and progression. I decided to focus on it since throughout the beginning I only focused on improving themselves.
Shinezu's name is exactly as you predicted. Using the almighty Google translate, I used Shine for 'die' since his schtick is all about killing people for experience. I didn't use much imagination for it but I figured it should hold a meaning. Though rat might seem a good fit for him too xD
I was hoping that I could shed some light on about what Adonis was going through, since this wasn't his first time taking down a Dark Player that has lost his way. Sherald also showed some regret after making his decisions as he recalled his sweet aunt that tried to help him.
I understand what you mean about the writing in this novel. I gotta be honest--I felt a little off during this process. I was using a new way to do the outline where I shorten the words a little to help with my imagination, but I think it sort of dipped the quality a little. There was also some outside things like waiting for the KH3 game and the like, but that's just a minor thing. I truly did feel like I was a little out of the loop there. On the next volume, I'll take all those words into consideration and focus more on the showing and descriptions, which was my weak points during this volume.
There is actually an explanation about Hinota's skills. Cross Shadow did show up before during Kudo and Hinota's trip to their first dungeon in Peranim. It was a minor thing and I never showed it again, but I figured that I could use it for the final fight. I also got to apologize for not showing Fire Force before. It was actually supposed to show as Hinota's new skill during her time separated from Kudo, and was supposed to show it off during their meeting, but I don't think I wrote it down. So yes, she did had those skills before, just that I didn't wrote down the latter skill in the actual novel before.
I'm REALLY sorry for repeating the words 'craned their necks'. Even I felt that I did it too much at some point. I'll try not to torture your mind in the next volume.
Everyything about what will happen next will show up in the next volume, so you're going to wait a little bit more. And Shiro WILL show some importance later on... just not in a long while. Sorry, I got a big plan for the story, but it won't take effect until further later down the line.
I WILL, however, show more development on Tsuchi and Mizuri in the next volume if I can, because I was also thinking the same thing.
In any case, thanks for the heads up on everything. This time, I'm gonna try to take my time on writing the volume instead of trying to crank it out cuz I figured it's been a while. Especially on the descriptions and showing--that takes a lot of brainpower for me X.X
I'll tell everyone what I'll do when I finish a little project on having then focus on the next big volume. Hope you can wait for a little bit of time!
