Thanks for reading, Stew! Honestly, I kinda just go with whatever the noggin feels like writing about, so I don't really try to dwell too much on making it fit whatever the contest is going for or not. It's fun to just come up with stories on the fly.
In the case of this one, the recent election had a big part in influencing how it developed. It's pretty common to throw your personal gripes of the real world into fiction, and that's pretty much what ended up happening here. I'm sure you caught a few things alluding to it... 😅
Either way, I've done what I want with this entry and had a bit of fun, and that's what matters. It's all I could hope for in between a busy schedule.
