I'm kind of wondering why the Choir would come after him after 10 years. Seems like they'd be prioritizing something else rather than chasing down some stray deserter. Like finding a shiny new world to impose their influence on. If that's the case, there's no need for them to chase down Quill specifically.
Not to mention Quill's back story. Ten years in 'paradise' and he's still tired and a recluse. It doesn't sound like he enjoyed his time despite breaking free.
Too many questions. 🤔
