Should have made Melody 5 coppers like the joke with Chopper initially being worth nothing.

You know what this whole novel reminds me of? Arifureta. Similar themes, picking up a crew of girls, OP aura farming powers, abandonment beginning. Good thing or bad thing? Depends on the person, I suppose.

Personally, I had fun with it. It had memes, it had aura farming, it had some chill moments. Overall, an enjoyable experience.

Good luck with the contest. Lark would look lovely whipping out a crotch heart.

Is it just me or did you have "Dame da Dungeon~~" stuck in your head while writing this? 😂

Jokes aside, I think you have a solid story that focuses on the struggles of two people facing a new world together and finding strength supporting each other. It's always fun to see things through the eyes of your characters (with a heavy dish of reader tsukkomis) that makes this a worthy read.

One thing I did notice (and part of that may be some confusion having to backtrack due to the rewrite) is that the side cast doesn't really have a shine to them. They are there and they have their scenes, but maybe a little more gripworthy moments could help bring them more into the fold. The journey still continues for our main two, but definitely they'll need a few extras to handle all the grip memes. 😏
