He pretty much just needs a strong subconsious of whatever to conjure up anything. But since sweets ain't his thing, picturing crepes as fake toy food too precidence, lol.
That's also the reason why he can't imagine the perfect waifu. His skepticism of flat, 2D waifus and his lack of actual experience gets in the way.
