Ahh, the childhood friend returning theme. I'm quite familiar with that one, down to the dream before meeting and the what-if snapshot of her growing up in the next meeting. It's quite the common kind of setup, which means that how interesting the characters themselves are will really be the driving force of your novel.
I did notice that some of your sentences in the narration are a bit cumbersome. In many cases, making them more concise would really help with the flow.
