There's a lot of little hints to Grace's true self here. She knows a lot of things, but doesn't have the memories associated to go along with them. Some of that limitation comes from Haru (Grace actually knows the taste of sweets and was disappointed. It was Haru that didn't know at first.) But definitely, there is a big part of Grace that is running on auto-pilot, and the reason behind that won't be clear until the end.
