it’s a fun sci fi story. Hana’s journey is nice and gentle in most ways, but still mature and adult-oriented. I want to return to this because it definitely ends on a cliffhanger. maybe I’ll get back to it this year.

thank you! this was hands down one of my favorite chapters in the whole story, and we needed the lead up to make it believable and carry the emotional impact I wanted. Sayane has been through a great deal already, she has established new relationships, she has a moderate understanding of the world and its complex conflict. now, as she makes her resolution, it is anchored by emotional investment and clarity, so it hits harder. all of the lead up thus far led us and her to this song. and now she finally has her voice back, even more so than what she had in her latter days if her first life.

they still don’t know if they can fully trust her or if she’s a reliable partner. there are many in their world who are not part of the Revolution, like Azag even. and the Revolution, in their stubbornness, keeps those people distant instead of being willing to work with them. so many revolutions in our actual history struggled with such thought and close mindedness.
