good writing should strive to make you feel all sorts of emotions -- not just happiness. to me, thats what makes this last stretch so important: its not just a happy haha silly fluff story, but a tense romance with genuine stakes, where you feel investment and cheer the characters on. that was my goal.
in a sense, yes, you have been one of those 50,000. isn't that kind of cool? i loved playing with the themes of the setting here
thank you so much for the compliments on my writing. it's the payoff from 35 chapters of build up, to me, which means it had to be that much more impactful. what happened WAS real. elisabeth knows that much.

i wanted it to be GUT WRENCHING, for you to think "yes, finally!" only for it all to get ripped away from her right before her eyes, outside of her control. i wanted it to HURT. you get some payoff here, but just a taste -- its tantalizingly close, yet so far. that's the idea, anyway, lol. i hope i executed on that well

its also a good sign to me that i signposted everything well, that readers are able to vaguely predict in some ways what might happen. then, when you see it happen, you feel smart and rewarded for reading. its amazing that it's been going so well!
setting the stage with more than just visuals is important! i hope ive done a good job of making those elements stand out, too
