The Duke is certainly a stetson villain. I made faces actually writing some of his dialog. I was also very happy to write the part where he gets what is coming to him.

I really worried over those changes. I had a few readers outside of Honeyfeed.fm who liked the name change. At the same time, your feedback had been important to me throughout writing this book. It struggled with it and I'm still not entirely sure.

Instant conflict and a dislikable character in Janice. The questions raised by her home life (Brother? Military? No parents?) does as much to pull me to the next chapter as meeting the "boy who went thud". Great start.

"Are those forms of combat". Very original line of dialog that works great.

The unsafe meeting and sneaking in a boyfriend work great to foreshadow that things will get dicey (as war looms)

So where is Motohara's real Grimoire? I have to apologize. That was the only thing I had to edit and fix. I made a small change to Chapter 1 and other chapters for this bit. Normally I don't need to, but this time an edit made sense. Lol.

The ending here promises a big move forward, and this chapter jumped the larger alien/human plot forward by a lot.

It seems important that the Force didn't work on Airi when it should have. Was it the drug in the water, or is there something important about Airi? Do emotions make the Force less effective? I'm looking forward to finding out.
