This chapter felt both heartwarming (Siljes memories, Aases teasing, and the whole "coming home"-atmosphere) and melancholic at the same time (what the guardians did, the postapocalyptic feel..).
You did a great job conveying all those different layers, nicely done :3

Finally found my way here, and I have to say say, I'm pleasantly surprised!

Even tho its just the prologue, it already feels completely different from Supersoldier Girlfriend :o

The elevated, almost sacred tone definitely made me curious, rlly wasn't expecting this. Nice

I love how this calmer chapter contrasts with the prologue while already foreshadowing Brochwel's downfall...
Good pacing and nice, smooth intro to characters and world without pulling lore dumps :3
It's also nice to finally read someone writing in third-person past tense like I do :D

That's a pretty grim but promising start. Brochwel seems older and more mature than most protagonists, which I really like. I wonder where this is going, it feels a bit like dark fantasy

So Elian found a new purpose as a teacher for a beastfolk tribe... That's a nice twist and definitely unexpected! :3
Since these "wolf people" are described as pretty primitive, I wonder how they deal with the Bugs?
Anyway, I'm glad the tragic part is over for now, I'm ready for some fluff

Wow this chapter almost felt like an ancient crime thriller. Awesome.
If the "one-year" oracle only delivered prophecies once a month, I think I already know why she was replaced so quickly 👀...
Hopefully Zagin can rescue the current oracle smh before its too late for her too...
