It's been a while, but I'm starting to catch up with this story! Every chapter sure has a way of keeping me clueless but intrigued as more details are revealed. It really gets me guessing as to what could happen next!

I just have one question though: why did it feel like I was reading a script whenever there was dialogue between Fuyu and the woman? The previous chapters aren't formatted like this whenever Fuyu talks. I guess since Fuyu was the only speaking character until now, you didn't have to write the dialogue that way, maybe?

Always good to hear your thoughts on the story. I wanted to make a pretty unlikable character this time, one who could be described as rude, irresponsible, inconsiderate, and stubborn. So, it makes sense that her solution is pretty selfish.

No, this isn't the best of endings, but I like to think of this story as a prologue for Masame's character arc. Her development is pretty stagnant, so it'll be a while before she begins to truly evolve. 😅

I would totally like to continue this story, but my god did I struggle just to write this one shot. I kept thinking about the extent and limits of Stein's (name of the presence) powers. Also, I would like to incorporate quantum theory into the story similar to how the anime Noein did. But geebus, quantum mechanics is tricky to understand. 😅

So far I'm hooked and awaiting what happens next. Right now I'm wondering why the memories of her friends and family were blocked off. Nia sounds like a very loving sister, but I wonder if there's possibly more to Nia than we think.

Thanks! I always try to shift writing styles whenever I write in first-person. I think it's mostly dependent on what type of protagonist I'm dealing with and what kind of world they're living in.

I've read through all of the Whispering stories now and this one takes the cake. It's mind-boggling, eerie, and unsettling. Perfect for horror!

The MC of this story is Fuyu who I'm glad to see is appearing in her own story after her minor role in Voices. Although, after reading Corridors so far, I have to wonder if this is even the same Fuyu from the last story.
Also, the Polaroid photos are here too... What does it all mean? 🤔

Continuing on from Voices, Echoes feels like it has a tonal shift. While it is still mysterious, the horror element has definitely increased compared to Voices. There's also some things that were mentioned, such as the Polaroid and the lady in the kimono, that leads me to think these stories are all connected somehow. Also, I hope I'm not reading the series out of order. 👍👍😄

I had this story saved in my bookmarks for a while and finally had the chance to read. The mystery really drew me in with questions like: What's the meaning of the camera? Why does time keep going backwards? What happened to Haru?

In the second chapter, the plot really thickened which felt like a real page turner. I felt like I gained some insight as to what happened in these 2 chapters, but I can see that the Whispering series doesn't end here.
