I’m so happy to hear you’re enjoying it! The Druid Earth was something I definitely thought a lot about. A version of humanity born to be true Stewards on Nature. Living life through observation of their world and understanding before acting. Nature is slow moving but resilient and that’s how I envisioned the Druids take on society.

Your reading of this old story has reignited a flame in me to pick this cosmos back up. May have to find time in the New Year to continue writing the second book of it. Of course, after I finish publishing this one, haha.

Agreed, Mesa's take is definitely more forward and proactive than Sparrow's. A Druid more accustomed to the harshness of Nature, prickly like a cactus and as resilient as mint, his take on how to handle threats is also very natural. Some plants require the wildfire to open their cones and spread their seed. When some trees are cut down, they come back with more shoots. I look forward to seeing your take on him and the other Earth Druids as the story continues.

Haha, I thought so but didn't want to assume! The game was definitely an interesting one. With lots of debate on whether agriculture was born 12.000-10.000 years ago as a means to grow grain for bread or for alcohol, I thought it would be interesting to include a Druid drinking game. Using natural features like springs and basins and having positions like those of a tree, it took on the idea of players acting as a thirsty willow or birch, drinking up as much as they could.

Sparrow has, without a doubt, earned that feeling. There is a reason why there are so many mixed emotions surrounding her in the view of other Druids. She is God to some, a traitor to others...creator, founder, villain. She is many things, and it'll be interesting to see how you feel about her as the story progresses.

Mek-Tek is definitely more of a mad scientist type character. The ideas he throws are often off the cuff and can be a result of his vapours. It is funny that you mention it, because eventually, there is a discussion on the topic. But, spoilers, haha.
