It still makes no sense, that honestly is a HUGE stain on this part, why the fuck is them staying with families in their houses allowed but staying in UNUSED GROUND not? That is absolute BS. They should be in the unused ground, if the elders want to cry about that, they can do something about it themselves, when some start returning in bodybags that should clear the picture, like seriously. So dumb, it absolutely should not happen. I'm just gonna pretend they're using the ground, otherwise it will be so incredibly stupid, borderline a plot hole honestly.
And now they're across the river? ...Which would be unused ground? What the fuck? I don't even know, that whole thing is a big L.
"several centuries of avoiding human trade" they didn't? That's how this mess got started in the first place, with them having gotten jumped AFTER trading a bit with humans. Did that just get ret conned? or did you forget?
"known what SHE planned" I honestly highly doubt she planned that alone. Heck that guy that gave the idea of lashing Uriel needs to get got too, fuck him.
Which speaking of, since oracle is less a leadership role (or unique for that matter given there's multiple) I don't much see a point in stripping it. I guess that's the problem with a tribe that has multiple leader style roles and multiple people in those roles.
the "what did they decide" I thought was coming from nimiwa because it said she stood next to us, that was a bit confusing but quickly I realized it was uriel.
Uhhh, yeah I feel nothing, too late for it to matter to be honest. It may as well never have happened and it'd be the same at this point, far far too late. On the other hand, I guess that's a proper(?) punishment maybe? Dunno. Can't tell because I feel nothing of it. Usually what happens when it takes 10 years to punish something, it starts to not matter as caring about it becomes irrelevant.
Was nothing covering her boobs? since both arms were on the stump none were covering them. That's not good.
"centuries of warnings" what? was it always centuries? That doesn't feel right, but obviously they did that themselves when they started trading with them so at this point whatever.
Stockholm syndrome hit him hard enough to avert eyes on the third? I guess it took too long for him to care too, even if part of the length taken was his fault.
Why? Just why? we have to still have to deal with waki? Maybe I'm not as interested in a next volume after all... So she's gonna be annoying there too. Great. Awesome. Definitely.
"human gods would kill us" Hmmmm, more towards the theory of them being evil, curious.
We STILL don't get to know what she said to her? this is insane. They call back to it, and just as she's about to say it, she's stopped. WHY BOTHER SAYING IT THEN? at that point remove the whole thing, I'd rather it not be said completely then be like "this is what I said" then followed by nothing. Are you kidding me? OF COURSE waki would be this fucking annoying, just as we're about to find out what it was, and SHE'S STAYING? nah that's dumb. What next? we taking the church in too? May as well, at least they'll be consistently annoying and villainous and never hinted otherwise that they might not. I can only hope she's pranking, all just a sick joke.
Surprisingly agile for someone lashed so much too, you'd think she wouldn't be able to clasp ANYTHING, but no, of fucking course, as if by sheer plot armor/convenience she was allowed to quickly stop her from saying whatever it was she was going to say.
"learn from her" learn what? how to put a dagger up your ass?
So pointless. Learn south? we already got nimiwa. Learn north? pointless, what's there to learn? We already got the blessing, and knowing how to fish or build a house is not necessary.
He picked up a goddess and put her in his lap? This feels way out of character, they been together a while, but nowhere near enough for him to dare do something like that to a goddess. Idk about this.
"that more than suited me" more like that more than sucked. Yeah that's awful.
First though "where one settlement ended and the other began" so they're not living in someone else's houses? but are in unused ground? yeah idk, like i said, that whole thing is an L, it should have been the unused ground.
Finally... Idk. first half was cool I guess? I honestly can't tell because the news of waki staying was so utterly tiring i forgot the rest, I literally forgot what happened, the only thing I thought was "Ugh, more of this shit again." So yeah, the whole chapter is a fumble, and absolutely completely ruined just from that line, at least for me.
It doesn't matter if she got punished, or has been and will be for however long, because it's too late, her annoyance is now permanent, had you punished her earlier I'd MAYBE have a different outlook, but you didn't and she wasn't. Which lead to her punishment basically being non existent feelings wise, because literally it could have never have happened and I'd feel the exact same because too much time passed, she's now permanently as the annoying character that didn't get punished, no matter how much she gets. She will never be seen as a full character if there is even anything past the annoyance, because that's basically the only thing she HAS been, at the very least with Uriel which is exactly what is going to happen because you're telling me she's gonna come with? Just more annoyance because she ain't gonna change, because, again I reiterate, she stayed the same annoying self every time she's with the group, the only time not being the RARE time her kids appeared, which was twice. Two times she looked/sounded at least a tiny bit different. It's ridiculous.
It's just so tiresome. like 70-80% of my hope for wanting to see how this story would continue vanished instantly. I thought that at the very least, finally no waki there except the occasional reference or appearance or when we arrive here, basically her as NOT a full party member, which is fine enough, but no, she's going to be interfering and ruining stuff there too. I guess at the very least I can be glad waki wasn't as annoying these past chapters (because she wasn't interacting much if at all with uriel and mostly just around him doing stuff to other people and such), but clearly that grace did not last.
Anyway, to reiterate, it's unfortunate but yes, because waki is now coming with, a lot of me wanting to see a continuation of this did indeed vanish. A little is there because obviously there's still the wonder what happens next. but everything else is gone. Out of everyone to add permanently to the party, it just had to be waki. The worst option besides the church. Who knows if I'll change my mind, I guess it's always possible (usually when I become apathetic towards it which I had kinda did these past chapters a little on waki), but at most, the excitement could return at max to maybe 50% to 60% i don't see it ever getting past that, if even that. Depending on how much I try to ignore waki exists, maybe. Honestly I don't even know. I'm just rambling at this point.
That really annoyed me, honestly it DID make me somewhat sad, because I knew I was no longer that interested in a continuation. It's almost ridiculous because it wasn't even a line ago that the "punishment" started before the announcement "she's fully part of the team" came. Insanity, it's like a serial killer served a day in prison before being immediately released with "he's good now, trust". Almost as if the plot didn't want the punishment dealt and to say sorry to waki she was immediately rewarded with getting fully into the team. Basically making the previous punishment void (not that it was anything in the first place, at least to me, too long and all that)
I didn't even have time to attempt to see her as a whole, to see if this "punishment" worked even if it was far too late, trying to just read the rest of the chapter, and maybe another to see if the punishment fully sets or doesn't (probably won't but could have tried), and maybe hopefully by the end of next chapter I'd have been able to see her more whole who knows. Nope, she was just immediately part of the team. Only a single line if that, between she's in the team and that "punishment"
Thinking back, in the end the only one punished was Waki, the elders got to scoot on by as if they didn't do a thing. Yeah that really was pointless. That sucked. Basically one scapegoat for the whole gang to scoot by. Ridiculous.
On another note to hopefully force myself to think about something better as if pretending that the garbage didn't happen and to not have you deal with this for this long. It's something I've been meaning to say but kept forgetting for like 2 chapters or something. Which is that I feel like Keme and Ceara could end up together. Idk, felt like it was gonna happen or that it'd be cool for that to happen. Who knows.
Anyway I'll stop rambling. Good chance I repeated myself a bunch, I just got so tired I didn't even want to bother writing it better, hopefully not to a confusing amount and hopefully you understood all that I've said. But yeah, this was... Something.
I guess next chapter is the last one for sure. I'm definitely totally looking forward to it, and definitely not at all completely deflated because of the waki news because I just know she's gonna be there. And not there as someone that helped but there as fully part of the team which is a BIG difference, definitely not deflated at all. Definitely not cautious and not wanting to see that chapter because of what happened in this one. ha ha. Definitely...
I'd say looking forward to the last chapter but... For some reason or another, I won't be saying that. Just so tiresome. There's never an end to the waki bs. Just when I had started to tolerate her because other stuff was happening around us, that happens. Very unfortunate.
Sorry about all this.
