I forgot to mention the War of the Stray Dog -- (1925) Bulgaria vs. Greece. A Greek soldier chasing his dog ended up on the wrong side of the fence, so the Bulgarian border guards shot him.
The Greeks demanded an apology, but the Bulgarians won't budge, so war was fought until the League of Nations intervened.
Honorable Mentions:
Emu War -- Australia vs. Emus. Proof that machine guns and 11k ammunition rounds won't work against flock of birds.
Anglo-Zanzibar War -- shortest war on record. Lasted 40 minutes.
Netherlands vs. Isles of Scilly -- longest war on record for 335 years. A result of clerical oversight, a state of war existed between Netherlands and the Isles of Scilly for three centuries as a result.
Football War -- El Salvador vs. Honduras. It sparked after a series of heated football matches between the two countries. El Salvador won both the war and the football game series.
Well, most of those wars have underlying reasons. Those event only sparked the tension that was formed for years.
