Before I even start on the chapter - good job on Noah's killer being the invisible thingy. That was good. I didn't have to call BS. 👌🏻
Anyway, is the next chapter a backstory dump disguised as a bedtime (repairtime) story?
Something about this Runo dude just makes me wish he's a double agent or something. Just teach him a lesson and exert rightful justice upon his arrogant behind!
Especially the energy bar eating. I have the misfortune of living with a glutton in the same house, and if I don't store my personal/favorite food items in a locked box in my room they will inevitably be eaten before I can take one bite of it. Anything that belongs in the fridge is immediately gone in an hour or two. So rip me and this trauma of mine because Runo is now on my list of suspect individuals. Even if Dolly didn't need the food, taking it from her and eating it just irks me.
Then there's Netty who is always laughing and enjoying herself. I also have the misfortune of knowing several overbearingly positive individuals like that, which is another trauma that makes me auspect of her immediately.
With Netty I can somehow overpower it with logic and hopefulness since she seems nice, but Runo needs to show some good moments for me to accept him after stealing food! 🤬
Well, now that my unreasonable feelings over fictional characters are out of the way, I can say that this continues to be a good read.
Since I haven't read the other contestants for the contest I can't yet say if this deserved the win, but it definitely deserves the praise.
Of course it misses some character work, agency, polish, and whatever a professional would have to say. Still it engages people, and that is something to be proud of.
