Thank you so much for reading until the end and thank you for such a nice review. I know I've fallen behind in reading and replying to comments because finishing the story has been mentally exhausting. I'm really proud to have finally finished it. And I saw you've finished yours as well. Congrats to both of us! I really need to get back to reading after this.
I was originally planning to make Hideo go with them, but then he still had unfinished business with his father, so even if he left Japanova, he would still carry that regret and it would weigh him down. He needed to confront his father to be totally free.
To explain for Shiba, he only said that to stop Akai from hesitating. And the fact that Akai didn't question his reasoning showed that he understood that Shiba only said that for his sake. It was their only chance to leave, and Shiba couldn't leave anyway because he was the only one who had access to the hidden footage. Maybe I should have explained it more clearly in the story...
I'm glad that I could get my message across. I've noticed that people around me nowadays have been relying on AI too much. I attended an open class before, and when the professor asked a question, a student answered only after asking chatGPT first. The way that the professor's face fell after the student admitted he asked chatGPT... That sparked the idea for me to start this story.
People should not blindly trust AI. What if someone is using their blind trust to commit crimes like Major Yaku and the others in the story? I'm showing a worst case scenario. But this isn't entirely impossible to happen in the future.
