Yes, they're all references to authors! Dumas is a reference to Alexandre Dumas (writer of The Count of Monte Cristo) but Sugarplum is the only exception-- her original last name was Carroll (for Lewis Carroll) but I realized last minute that's the last name of the protagonist of ACID ALICE and i didn't want to cause any confusion/give the appearance of overlap, so I changed it 😅
