Who wouldn't want six-packs on monsters?! Only fiends!
I see your point. Because of (what you eventually learned that Miranda has known Noah and his character was already etched into her conscious) Dolly subconsciously had the same connection so she's irrationally attached.
Fun fact, Dolly was only irritated at herself in the beginning. When she asked if they knew humans turned into monsters, had Runo said he didn't, she wouldn't be mad (at them). I had envisioned herself just slowing turning around to them with frustration to herself because she doesn't understand why she's crying. However, because Runo said he knew, she's wondering why he hadn't said anything, and with Netty's reaction, that's her subconscious empathy kicking in. Dolly wouldn't care that she just met Runo, she'd wonder, if someone knew something this big, why wouldn't they inform the people around them sooner? She wouldn't know that some people might not accept the truth easily.
And in some ironic way, Dolly is exactly that. For she became the most emotional one after finding out : p Dolly is a walking contradiction, like my existence!
