Hope you enjoy reading my novels! (Currently working on just "I Can Hear Your Thoughts, but it's not like I'm Telling You or Anything!")
I'm always looking forward to reading all kinds of unique stories on the site, even more now that it's taken off in popularity!

First and foremost, congrats on completing the 1st volume! I know I jumped in on the follow train rather late (it was around this time last year iirc?), but nevertheless, you know just how much I've enjoyed reading this! I honestly wasn't sure what I could expect from this story at first, but with everything we got in just this volume, there's no way I can say I was left disappointed even for a bit, and that makes it one of my most memorable reads!

For an epilogue, this left more questions unanswered than answered, probably thanks to the mood it carried (which is a good thing, because hype!). I'm starting to suspect that this gun order was placed by one of Rio's targets (like Fenris let's say, although this is just a baseless hunch), and it seemed quite...worrisome for its extent. What also makes me curious is that I got that same ominous feeling from Davis' father. Maybe it's because he's been so strict with Davis, but he feels like the kind of a guy that we shouldn't trust...

Welp though, Davis is gonna have it rough from now on, isn't he? Not only did he get the heart arrows, but I'm also really worried about him, especially with that 180 he did in this chapter. As much as I'd love to see Lucas get himself another brawl (I'm itching for more fights lol), I don't want him to confront Lucas as an enemy, I won't be able to choose a side then xD

Again, thanks for the amazing volume! It was a fantastic ride that was honestly getting better and more exciting with every chapter, and I'm seriously looking forward to how the 2nd volume will turn out at this rate!!

PS: Many props to HikariSoul for the amazing art, it looks absolutely gorgeous!!

Tis' been a long time indeed, mate! RL was way too demanding the past couple months, but as you can see, I survived its trials just to come back to the site to read...only to have internet issues that moment I wanted to send this reply, all the way to yesterday... Really makes you wonder if I'm really jinxed.... 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Jokes aside though, I'm seriously surprised that you remembered me saying that! I don't 100% remember what I had in mind back then, so I'll try to recall as much of it as I can!
If memory doesn't deceive me, by "lesson" I probably meant that we would get to see a side Rio hadn't shown us thus far to teach Lucas to not mess with her again like that...and that was exactly what we got. Not the berserk one I was expecting (I feel betrayed xD), but a much, much more human side of her. To elaborate a bit on that, I was waiting for Rio to get seriously pissed at Lucas, to the point that she would shout at him that he just doesn't understand how much he hurt her mentally, and from that point on, Lucas would start having second thoughts about how he saw Rio (more like an actual human with actual feelings instead of just an assassin that wants to take out her targets), and perhaps she would have said some things you included in her parts with in a more distressed and irritated way.

Instead, I can undeniably say that things worked out a lot better with the more serene tone and atmosphere! Choosing that approach really helped not only relieve the tension of the previous chapters, but also make the two getting a little bit closer much easier to understand, while also conveying their feelings in a way that felt relatable, if anything!
What I wasn't expecting though (and I'm really, really glad we actually got to see it) was this sincere and earnest side of Lucas. Alongside Rio's confessions, Lucas' were just as impactful to my impression of him, which were a fantastic addition on your part. I never felt like Lucas had faulty development as a character or was lacking at some aspects, but reading that part made me realize that he had really come a long way since he met Rio, more than I had speculated!

To sum it up: Even if I was expecting a completely different approach, I think the one was definitely the ideal one to serve as a resolution to this mini-arc! It basically achieved what I had vaguely imagined it would (aka that Lucas would see a side of Rio that he would probably have never expected to see), but in a completely different way that made the characters much more interesting and deeper! I'm dead set on the hope that this strengthening of their relationship will play a major role later on!

PS: I'll keep asking on an arc with that little girl, even if it's filler! You can't just set up an interesting, short backstory like this and leave it untouched! xD

Thank you very much, mate! I can't believe it's been this long either! Feels like I was writing the draft for the first chapter just the other day... Now I feel old, great... xD

That aside, I'm really glad you enjoyed Yumeha's parents! I wanted to introduce them for a while now since they would help add more depth to the story and Yumeha's background too, but considering how little screentime they got compared to how many things I had in mind to complement with their debut that didn't make the final cut...... Nevertheless, it's good knowing their short introductions helped color the chapter more!

And indeed, Maria has always had this intriguing aura around her and most people that have at least been in the same room as her have experienced it, so it's not just you feeling this way, I can guarantee! Of course, I don't plan on not giving Maria her own time to answer any questions about her!

Once more, I'm so happy this "little" break didn't wither away the tone of the novel! In all honesty, when I got back to writing the chapter after all my needy assignments, I was like "Dude, how was I writing this again?" (Existential crisis at 100% or something, lol), so it's reassuring to know that it still feels as lighthearted!

I'm still kind of surprised though, it's probably the first time someone called my math gags funny, this is a day to remember XD

Anyways, sorry for the extremely late reply, and thank you for keeping up as always! (Currently trying to catch up on Anno Domini too!) I really hope you're looking forward to the next chapter!!

    Chapter:13

First and foremost, thank you very much for the wishes, I'm always putting all of my efforts into the novel to make it the best it can be! I really love writing it and I'm so glad that this excitement is getting across! I have to admit I enjoyed writing this chapter a bit too much because I basically projected a bit of myself onto both Karasuma and Taichi there with my love-hate relationship with math xD (If only I could explain math as easily as she did though 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔)

Karasuma is indeed kind of prone to teasing, but I'd say the reason she gets so well along with Taichi is *exactly* because his attitude sometimes reminds her of her parents', who might tease her for fun, but she is well aware that this is how they're expressing their fondness for her! I don't want to make it seem like she's getting bullied or anything like that (cause she's definitely not), but she's the kind of person you can't help but tease a little to bring out their excitement xD

As for the ending, it's something that was implied from the very first chapter, and basically explains why Taichi has this mindset that always tries to read between the lines, all thanks to his experiences with his ability. Whether he likes this or not...that was what this last part was all about! This surely could be crucial at some point, that I might guarantee!

Anyways, thanks a lot again for the wishes and for keeping up after this long mini-hiatus, I really hope you're looking forward to the next chapter!!
