Aah the mysterious father cliche, it's been a while since I last came across that! It feels really nostalgic all of a sudden xD

On a serious note though, a person close to the MC suddenly disappears/dies, but later learns that they were a part of something huge and probably world-changing...boy am I a sucker for this kind of concept! From a personal standpoint, the whole world-building has been done pretty well, setting up the overall mood from the get-go! On top of that, the story just drew me in as I mentioned before, so this is definitely something I want to follow to the end!

However, there were a couple of things that kinda bothered me. One is the really fast pacing of the story, and the other is the lack of description, especially compared to the plethora of dialogue. The latter makes the story and characters feel kind of bland and forced, resulting in the former, with both chapters losing me at some points with the fast pacing. What comes to mind right now is Yoshiki's actions in this chapter: It felt like he just agreed to follow Ken without raising a single suspicion about him just because he knew about his father; in other words, robotic.

In any way, since this is your first work as you mention in the synopsis, I can assure you that you'll slowly and steadily get a lot better! Heck, this novel is already a great start! In the 8 months I've been on the site, I saw a lot of the authors here begin from zero, and over the course of a few months, they had changed drastically for the better that their styles seemed like a complete different person's! If you are passionate about this, then you WILL see that change for yourself in your own work sooner or later, and personally I'm looking forward to seeing it too with every new chapter!

I know this was quite the long comment (sorry if it bored you...), but you'll get used to seeing such lengthy comments in the site before you can realise it xD

It really makes me glad that you found the chapter and the story enjoyable so far, but if it made you laugh as well... There's no greater happiness than that, personally!

It's actually kind of funny how Strident also pointed out the goofy anime similarities, because a goofy anime is quite literally what I have in mind when writing, haha! This must mean that the way I'm imagining the story is getting across, I'm really relieved and happy about that!
Oh, and Akiya-senpai might not have JUST a cute side, just saying... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As for the Student Council...there are a lot of variations with this one that will become obvious later on, showing just how different it is from a regular Student Council, and hopefully it will still be to your liking once they show their true colors! (Whether this means they're up to good or no good is up to you to imagine, although I'll be the one deciding xD)

And there's someone else who thinks Charlotte is better than Angel Beats!? I FOUND A MAN OF CULTURE!
Charlotte was the anime got me into Key/Jun Maeda's works, so it has sentimental value for me on top of being one of my faves! That OVA though...too powerful *TEARS HAVE BEEN SHED*
Toradora wasn't nearly as good as Charlotte for me, but it had some pretty strong moments as well!

Pretty much everyone has made a comeback by now, sooooooooo CHEERS! xD
I really had missed the old Honeyfeed with the constant updates and comments and all that, so thankfully it feels much more alive than a month ago!

Glad to finally be a part of this bandwagon! よろしくお願いします!!

In all honesty, even I can't believe it's been just a day in this story and THIS much has happened, let alone Lucas (who's probably wondering how the hell his life changed so much in a bit more than 24 hours!) Dunno if it was intentional or not, but 16 chapters making up for such a small amount of time could parallel how Lucas can't really comprehend how his commonplace life has turned upside-down so fast; THIS kind of feeling is what makes the humane aspect stand out.
And it's not just Lucas, Rio as well has shown a lot of realistic aspects in her personality, which make the story all the more memorable, so I guess forgetting the previous events isn't really an issue for me personally, hehe. Gimme fights, gimme new characters, gimme dialogue, gimme scenery, gimme brutality, I'll remember them all!

I totally get the perfectionist part though, I'm literally one and the same on that! It took me like 5-6 different routes to reach the one that seemed most appropriate for the latest chapter, and I had to reach it through trial and error and correcting and deleting... So frustrating...!
But hey, the good thing about wanting to perfect a scene means that you care a lot about how you want others to see it AND you're more likely to come up with scenarios to utilise later on! Talk about killing two birds with one stone lol
(Oh, and while we're at that, thanks again for the feedback on the format change, it was really helpful!)

Stay awesome man, I can't wait for more! And yay for long comments! xD

Seems to me that you have already chosen your best girl, haven't you! Not a bad choice my friend, not a bad a choice at all xDD

Although Yukino will be an important character, the main focus is mostly on the (currently) first years, so her nature won't get a story of its own. Her past will play a major role in the story, but will only be referenced through dialogues and all that, so you never know, she could have a backstory like that! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But the most important is that I'm really pleased you liked her overall! Since my goal is for the narration to mirror Taichi and his personality, I wanted to give more emphasis to her for two reasons (which will be touched upon a bit later on and will explain why he focused too little on Jin compared to Yukino), and thankfully it seems it did its part, haha!

And speaking of Jin... I actually had a short description planned for his appearance, but it seems I either forgot to add it in from my notes or deleted it from the draft by accident, so thank you for pointing that out! Until I edit it properly though, it's obvious I have to clear up this little confusion, don't I xD
Jin is a cool-headed, serious and reasonable guy that speaks quite bluntly and always looks out for others with utmost care. Although he does not see eye to eye with personalities like Yukino's at times, he nevertheless sees her kind side as an example of a great senpai, so he looks up to her at least on that! (Hence the similarity between how he and Yukino treat Yumeha, for instance)
I kind of get why he would seem to be getting intimate with Taichi, but he's in fact being as kind to Taichi as he would be to Yumeha! (I don't know if you've watched Toradora or Charlotte, but he's pretty much like Kitamura or Takajou respectively in terms of his relationship with the main character!) The same applies for Yukino as well, but he's more straightforward to her as a fellow Council member, a friend of hers, and, last but not least, as a kouhai that doesn't want to see a certain someone he looks up to create a bad image for herself!
So long story short, he's a kind, reserved and blunt fella that can't really ignore anyone!
I hope I cleared that up at least a bit! (If I wasn't in the same page as you please let me know!)

As for the rest of the Council, I have planned for 2 of them to appear within the next 3 chapters!

I really appreciate the kind words man! I think I've mentioned this way too many times by now, but I can't thank you enough for keeping up and liking this! I genuinely enjoy writing this story and I'm glad too see it's paying off when others enjoy it as well!
Although you must be on a whole different level of liking judging from your profound description xDD

It wasn't Karasuma running rampant, it was actually Fukuda (just checked again in case I forgot to mention that, but it was there all along)
As for the details, it's pretty self-explanatory given Fukuda's character. You know, she climbed a tree for a kitten and all that, so she pretty much will do pointless and risky things for her satisfaction. Nothing important to the plot after all.

    OR IS IT???????

    And you want more feeding?
    HAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA, nope xD
Jk jk, I definitely have something food related in mind, but who knows, maybe this will turn into My Youth Romantic Food Comedy is Wrong As I Expected or something lmao

As for the headache, I had merely caught a cold (it was summer and super hot a month ago, but it got so cold sometimes lmao)
For the time being, I'm trying my best to get more chapters ready and get into my planned schedule! And now that I've FINALLY released the next chapter, I'm on my way to achieve that AND the plot progression will happen at long last! If my calculations are correct, it should take about 1 chapter from now to get some more plot, and around 5 to 6 for the serious stuff to kick in!

Aaah how good it feels to be catching up xDD
It took quite some time to do that, but boy was the ride worth it! I wish I had started reading earlier cause I got too immersed with every single chapter!

Anyways, this particular chapter left me in awe. I was wondering what could happen to Lucas when you mentioned it was the 2nd longest chapter so far, but I forgot everything about that a few lines in! I just got too fascinated by the vivid details in the whole patching-up-thingy that I reached the end before I knew it!
I'm really intrigued by Faust though. Given the timing and the ominous description you gave him, I can't help but think that he's somehow related to Fenris! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH the cliffhangers!

Of course I can't end here because I feel the need to express my impressions on the story up to this point. You have gotten yourself a really, REALLY intriguing and wonderfully executed set of characters that have clear and distinct HUMAN personalities. Rio is an assassin but shows a kind side to her sister, Lucas is fighting for his very life but is also kinda bored of commonplace things, etc etc... Just wow. This is some top-notch handling of realistic human emotions combined with aced character development!
What makes this all the more praiseworthy is that their personalities keep the story (which is so full elements that I literally can't stop wondering what's coming up!) going and not some dumb plot-device that appears out of nowhere. Surely this is a delectable twist I've been longing for!

All in all: Although this seems to be JUST the beginning of the story so far, if the hype bars are this high already, the climax will be breaking a lot of records at once xDD
Keep it up mate, this novel is so promising that I can't imagine myself not sticking around until it ends for good! Can't wait for the next chapter!
