You caught up already!? WOAH YOU'RE FAST
Well you're in for a fun treat, because the new chapter just got posted!

I was actually kinda worried about the descriptions, I wanted to try something a bit different to see if it would work out, and I'm really glad it did!
As for Satoru, I was also worried a bit about how the readers would receive him since he got so little time to be introduced to show any unique traits of his, but you took a liking to him to top it off! (This is N I C E xD)
There's no reference in Satoru's name actually (I'm guessing you're thinking of Satoru from Erased?). If anything, you can call it a small tribute to Akaza Akari's unique ''ability'' (She's from Yuru Yuri, and God I just love her and the anime so much!)
BUT as I mentioned in my reply to your other comment, the references are purely there to spice things up a bit, although if you're interested in knowing what each one's referencing, it will be my pleasure to help you on your quest to find them all! xD (The new chapter's title is also a reference to a pretty popular series!)

Karasuma does have a sister and I can confirm that, I ain't going deep on this novel (yet), haha! She will appear in a few chapters, so you'll see her in action for yourself!

I actually got to writing pretty recently myself, so I'm in your shoes too! And not to mention that I also take a bit of inspiration from your novel! (especially on descriptions, that imagery makes me go ''WOOOOOOOOOOOOAH'')
But this is a great thing! We get inspired by (and hopefully inspire) each and every other writer here to make all our stories better! You mentioned Chesarka as well, who has an extremely spot on mindset when it comes to reviewing, pointing out even minor aspects that could influence a story both positively and negatively! Of course Chesarka is one of the numerous talented people in here, and if being critical isn't your forte then no worries, there's always something that you, more than anyone here, excel at!
This all leads to unique and intriguing creations that WILL be noticed by someone outside this small community sooner or later! Heck, some authors here have even gotten their books published! Compared to that, I too am an amateur in this community lmao

All I can spoil right now about the plot is that what's going to happen will be GREATLY varied along the way and I'll be touching upon a handful of genres, which will become more obvious with time! (Romance is a must though, you can quote me on that!)

Let me thank you once again for liking this! I've run out of cookies, so um, have some candy as a token of my gratitude, I guess? xD 🍬🍬🍬

    Chapter:6

*Taking note of that exquisite food description because reasons ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)*

It makes really happy you're enjoying it so much! Honestly, I'm way too glad that you're so passionate about it as well!

All of my works are standalone for the most part; they have a story of their own, but (at the very least) include easter eggs to my other works! The anime/manga references are mostly fanservice (the general kind, not that *other* one) along with the easter eggs, but only a dozen eggs are important to the plot as a whole though, heheheh.
For instance, Chesarka had asked in his comment on this chapter if this is a shared universe with another work of mine (which as you might have guessed, it is), and that will play a major role in what happens next, but won't prevent someone who's reading just this work of mine from understanding what's going on!

A friend of mine that's proofreading this also told me it feels like an anime (we're getting ready for the adaptation already lol), but in reality, that's what I actually have in mind when writing it xD
The reactions, the face expressions, even the dialogues are mostly anime-based, so the fact that the readers can also imagine it as one means that I should keep that as is!
I doubt I'll have Taichi take the Saki OR the harem route though, so you'll probably be let down on these two...

Once again, I'm really glad you're enjoying this so far! I'm trying my best to improve it with every chapter, and now that the first climax of the story is getting really close, I hope you're looking forward to it! But first and foremost, good luck on your tests, wishing ya the best!

NOW ONTO YOUR OTHER COMMENT I GO! xD

    Chapter:4

    To:chesarka

Actually I had mentioned briefly it in Prologue I, but I released that chapter almost 3 months ago, so it makes sense to not remember it... Here's the extract where it's mentioned!
''...It’s a relatively small two storey building on a relatively inclined road in the suburbs of Tokyo, in a small town not far away from it by bus or train.''

Although that's a bit wrong... Okay, maybe it's really wrong xD
I meant to do my research on a location before choosing one, but I was too excited about releasing the chapter that I actually forgot everything about that until you pointed it out, hehe...
I didn't have a specific location in mind when I was writing that, just an overall image of how I'd want it to look like, but now that I spent hours searching for that one place (which is why it took me so long to reply, sorry...), the most ideal candidate would be Kawazu, a small town in the Shizuoka prefecture! It resembles the descriptions I've given about the town in the story almost perfectly so far (most of them, at the very least), so I'll go and change that blander of mine along with some other minor details concerning that before I release the next chapter!

I had mentioned the cherry blossoms in ''Beyond the Horizon'' in Prologue II too (I don't know if you made it this far into this one, but I'll save you from the trouble of looking for this one as well!): ''...The scenery of her looking concerned under the blooming cherry blossoms looked like a vivid dream I would never want to end.''

Anyways, I'm really glad that the format change is working, and also glad to know that you liked that description as well! It took me some time to get the imagery right on that, so I'm happy it paid off in the end!
And also, thank you for reminding me that I should have checked my facts before mentioning a real-life location, I'd better be more careful from now on xD

    Chapter:6

Before I begin, I'll agree with what Chesarka said about the premise: it 100% gives off a Shelter vibe, and even if you weren't inspired by it as you said so yourself, I can't help but point out the similarities! (I even rewatched the music video for the gazillionth time just an hour ago and found this afterwards, I doubt it's a mere coincidence xD)

I personally believe you nailed the way you chose to present the whole thing from beginning to end, keeping it intriguing and well-paced at the same time for something of this length. The narration was simple to understand and you didn't spend too much or too little time on something to feel off. The descriptions did seem a bit unevenly distributed, but as I mentioned, the differences on that weren't too blatant to put me off, and if anything, it sure helps understand what you believe is most important for your readers to focus on!
The few grammar/punctuation mistakes you've made didn't bother me at all either and were too minor to prevent me from enjoying the story (I'm a huge grammar prick btw, so when they just manage to go unnoticed into the final draft for some reason, my gears get more than ground lmao), but these can always be corrected in a matter of a couple minutes!

It's definitely obvious you got yourself a really promising story that could go a lot of ways (from light-hearted to freaking dark) that will most likely bring along a lot of sad and strong moments (I've watched too many anime to know when the feels are imminent xDD)
I can't by any means predict how the story will progress if you decide to go on with it, so I can only hope and ask for more in the near future!

    Humanity's Outcome
    Chapter:1

    Jul 17, 2017

    To:chesarka

It's definitely a compliment! I wholeheartedly enjoy commenting and replying to people here, but ''keeping it short'' wasn't really my forte since I was a kid, so I've come to be more fond of longer explanations/conversations etc for some reason lmao

Anyways, onto the numbered observations I go! Again!

    1) I want to believe it's going to feel that way, but I guess I'll have to wait till I do release the next chapter to find that out!

    4) Well, I guess there won't be a need to ask when another character from Beyond the Horizon appears then, I'm sure you'll recognize her, haha!

    5) Aah, I see where your point is coming from. It's definitely worth generalising it in this case or just avoiding using it in the first place, it should come in more handy than not! I too believe now that it will work out better that way!

    6) I didn't actually mean it as in ''Nah, this is too scientific for my knowledge'' lol, I was basically saying (and I think Jio was implying this too) that the average reader probably wouldn't go into such detail for this. I mean, the difference may be extremely important, for instance, to me or you or your average doctor/biologist, but from the average reader's point of view, twins are twins and they'll most likely believe that there are some huge similiarities between the two; that's the impression I was aiming for!

Once more, thanks again for all the great feedback! I'm definitely going to have these in mind next time I get the keyboard on my hands, hahah!

I Can Hear Your Thoughts, but it's not like I'm Telling You or Anything!
    Chapter:5

    Jul 17, 2017

    To:Jio Kurenai

First Chesarka with the numbered observations, now you with the asterisks... Damn, it's like you're hearing my thoughts (Pun definitely not intended) on how much I enjoy things being in a specific order xD

I'll agree that this chapter had some moments that could put one off when reading them, but I'm really glad you enjoyed it, especially the addition of the twins!

*As I mentioned to Chesarka, there are ALWAYS some mistakes that make the final cut, unfortunately... (I even spend 4 days checking and correcting this one lmao) I had in mind that I should make it clear that the twins took turns speaking, but it seems I forgot to add it...
I always do that even after posting, but if it's a punctuation issue, it actually depends on the impression I want the character to give with their words.
E.g. I use full stops mostly for the solidity of a statement in a *completed* sentence; long story short, confidence in accuracy (accuracy is sometimes terrifying imo, take the whole prank for instance; the twins wanted Taichi to take the bait and he was certain about his feelings of fear), so I think a full stop will help persuade the reader to trust what the character speaking says!
I use ellipses obviously for the opposite reason; uncertainty about something (which goes hand in hand with suspense, as you mentioned), but also monologues, a realisation that is not completely desired, etc etc...
Using that logic, I feel a full stop is more appropriate than not, but that's just how I can imagine it!
Of course I'm not saying your opinion is wrong in any way! If anything, I'm grateful for that advice, I didn't even think it could work out that way too!

*Biology was the one thing I was never good at... jk I love it to death
Still, what made this prank successful was how Taichi was seeing the two from his POV. Even if we're talking about fraternal twins and not identical ones, the similarities between them just happened to be huge, and this contributed a lot to it! But as you said, it's a minor thing, and I believe the reader can imagine at least this much on their own!

Whether it's a suggestion or pointing out an issue, any feedback is highly appreciated! Even saying how you imagine the characters actually helps me a lot too to understand how the reader may interpret their actions!
(Don't worry, the twins are safe from Aizen)

I Can Hear Your Thoughts, but it's not like I'm Telling You or Anything!
    Chapter:5

    Jul 17, 2017

    To:chesarka

Ohoho, you numbered your comments on this this time, I like that! I'll answer the same way then!

    1) Well, I suppose it's natural that there would be some typos (there just has to be at least one every time lol). That's why I always re-read it to check for mistakes like that after posting and correct whatever catches my eye + I don't have a stable internet connection atm, so counting on a 6 year old phone that can barely do a single search with data to help me make sure that something is correct is kind of difficult... I'm going to re-read right now since I didn't have time after posting it, so most of these will be corrected shortly!
As for why it felt raw, Ι believe it's probably because of how many changes the draft went through... At first, it was probably 18-19 pages long (twice my average chapter size), so I had to cut it down by having some events happen in later chapters...

    2) No worries about that, I perfectly get you! I have an obsession with having correct grammar, punctuation AND vocabulary in literally everything as well (be it a formal essay or just a note to myself, LITERALLY everything), and I got myself a reputation for that among my friends xD
Still, using commas when someone ends their sentence seems kind of...off to me, I should say? I've seen that in novels I've read and it actually feels somehow wrong to do it that way. I'm no expert at literature and its rules (I could never pay attention to these lol), but for me, it's just the way it comes out, if I can describe it that way!

    3) It does feel a bit weak and rushed around there now that I re-read that part, but as I mentioned, all these changes automatically meant that it was bound to have something like this if you ask me...

    4) Yup, from Beyond the Horizon, along with Yuu!

    5) I think I caught your drift on this one! (The reference was from the Monogatari series btw)
I definitely can't say you're wrong on the readers becoming confused with some references, but sometimes it actually is a point of a series that I personally don't mind calling charming! (No Game No Life and Gintama reference other anime, Hyouka references Sherlock and Agatha Christie's works, but there are non-Japanese ones that do too, like The Big Bang Theory, Supernatural, etc etc...)
The character on your profile pic is Chuuya from Bungou Stray Dogs, right? It would actually make it a bit easier to explain if you've watched the anime/read the manga. Dazai's ability (''No Longer Human''), for instance, is a reference to the name of his RL counterpart's probably most known book. While watching Bungou and Dazai's ability in action, even if I didn't get the reference at all, it didn't cross my mind that it would annoy me, but I genuinely enjoyed it for what it was, and I'm actually hoping for that in this novel as well!
I realised the way I put that reference in there could put someone off, so I'll try to minimize their usage and mention the source for less popular ones like that one you mentioned!

As always, thanks for all the detailed feedback! You've given me (and not just me, you always leave suggestions on almost every novel I see, you deserve some credit for that at the very least!) so much of it that I'm running out of ways to thank you actually... I dunno why, but everytime I see a comment from you, I'm like ''OH BOY, TIME FOR ANOTHER LONG REPLY!'', but maybe it's just because I enjoy overextending things xD
