A very beautifully written chapter. There is a real style to the prose and some really outstanding lines. The characters too, immediately pop out and there's a sense of direction and worldbuilding in very little time.
Personally, I did find the onomatopoeia a bit much. Also, I thought the very last portion of the chapter was weaker comparatively.
But otherwise, a hauntingly engaging piece. I look forward to more.
